Privacy policy

Zwip is an app to discover video games by watching trailers. This policy explains what data we use, why, and how you can delete it. Questions? Write to hola@playzwip.com.

What data we use

Account: your email and, if you sign in with Google, the identifier Google gives us. Passwords are stored encrypted by our authentication provider; we never see them.

Without an account: an anonymous identifier, so your guest progress is kept if you create an account later.

Preferences: the platforms and genres you pick, your language and theme.

App usage: which games you saw, how long you watched each trailer, and which ones you saved, dismissed, shared or opened. We use it to order For you.

My list: the games you save and their status.

Steam (optional): if you link Steam, we store your SteamID and the games in your library and wishlist that Steam shows publicly. We never ask for or see your Steam password.

Technical data: server logs (for example dates and errors) to keep the service running and secure.

Why we use it

To make the app work: your list, your preferences and your session.

To personalize For you based on what you like.

To send necessary emails, such as confirming your email or resetting your password.

We don't sell your data or use it for advertising. Zwip shows no ads today; if that changes we will update this policy and ask for consent where required.

Who we share it with

Only the providers we need to run the service: Supabase (database and authentication, servers in São Paulo, Brazil), Resend (email delivery), Cloudflare (the playzwip.com website), Google (if you sign in with Google) and Valve/Steam (if you link Steam).

Game images, trailers and descriptions come from Steam and the App Store and belong to their owners.

How long we keep it

As long as you have an account. If you delete it, we delete your account, list, preferences, usage history and Steam imports.

Data from inactive guests may be deleted after some time.

Your rights

You can see and change your preferences in Profile, unlink Steam at any time and delete your account from Profile → Delete account.

You can also ask us for access to, correction or deletion of your data at hola@playzwip.com.

Children

Zwip is not directed at children under 13. Some games have mature content: we hide it unless you confirm you are old enough.

Changes

If we change this policy you will see the new date above and, for important changes, a notice in the app.
